Wakebound is a local-first alarm utility. We do not operate an account system, advertising network, analytics service, or cloud database for the app.
Your alarm plans, barcode values, preferences, wake outcomes, and native alarm identifiers.
Frames are processed on device while scanning. Photos and videos are never saved or uploaded.
Export a privacy-safe summary or clear local data after native alarms are verified cancelled.
Data collection
Wakebound does not collect data from the app or transmit app data to the developer. The app does not track you across apps or websites and does not use data for advertising.
Data stored on your device
Wakebound stores the following information locally on your iPhone so its features can work:
- alarm times, schedules, labels, and wake-protection settings;
- the barcode text registered for a primary and optional backup checkpoint;
- your locally configured morning intention and preferences;
- recent wake outcomes, including completed checks, missed checks, and use of the emergency route; and
- native alarm identifiers needed to schedule, verify, and cancel alarms with iOS.
This information is not uploaded to us. Deleting the app removes its app-container data. The in-app Privacy & Data screen also provides a privacy-safe export and a verified clear-data action. The export intentionally excludes actual barcode values and native system identifiers.
Camera access
Wakebound uses the camera only while you register or scan a barcode. The app reads supported barcode values live on the device. It does not save photos or video, does not add media to your photo library, and does not upload camera content.
Alarms, notifications, and Live Activities
Wakebound uses Apple AlarmKit to schedule alarms and may use local notifications and Live Activities to show wake-check reminders, protected nap countdowns, and Dynamic Island status. These features are processed on the device. Wakebound does not request a push-notification token and does not send remote push notifications.
Other permissions
Wakebound does not request access to location, contacts, microphone, photos, health data, or motion data.
Children
Wakebound is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children under 13. Because no app data is collected by the developer, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If a future version introduces developer-operated data collection, accounts, analytics, advertising, or cloud sync, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before that version is released.
